Ace trained in ballet and folk dance at the Manila Dance Center under the tutelage of Luther Perez and Toni Fabella from 2003-2005. In 2013, after graduating from College, he then decided to enroll at the CCP Dance School, and in January 2014 he was accepted as a male scholar. He trained in classical ballet and modern under Monette Victoria, Rubylee Gomez, Rhea Dumdum-Bautista, Kris-Belle Paclibar Mamangun, Ronelson Yadao, Karla Javier, and Jean Marc Cordero. In 2015, he was promoted as a Company Scholar and became a member of Ballet Philippines 2. As a Company Scholar, he essayed the role of Kabataan for BP2's 'Rock Supremo,' and portrayed Smee in Edna Vida Froilan's 'Peter Pan.' He joined Ballet Philippines as an apprentice in 2016.
