Bonifacio Guerrero, Jr.
Boni began his training in jazz and modern dance in Notre Dame of Lambayong with the Kakaduwa Dance Troupe, under the tutelage of Marc Marlon Rebollos. At the age of 16, he came to Cultural Center of the Philippines Dance School (CCPDS) and participated in 39th CCP Summer Dance Workshop under the Male Scholarship Program, performing in all of the school’s productions. He was promoted to apprentice of Ballet Philippines and subsequently became a member of Ballet Philippines II.
In his third year in college, he became a finalist of the Wifi Body Independent Contemporary Dance Festival 7 in New Choreographer’s Competition. He graduated with a degree in Creative and Performing Musical Arts from the University of the Philippines Diliman. Also a promising young choreographer, his pieces for Ballet Philippines II include “Maniera”, and “Dance in You” in 2015, and “Templum Velum” in 2016.
