Denise started her dance training under the guidance of Pamela Ortiz-Bondoc and Brezhnev Larlar. As a young dance student, she was a consistent Distinction awardee of the Australian Conservatoire of Ballet exams. In 2010, she entered the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde as a dance major where she began taking classes in Ballet Philippines as a company scholar. In 2011, she received the esteemed Luva Adameit Award at the National Music Competition for Young Artists (NAMCYA) - Junior ballet division and was then promoted to company apprentice.
Denise joined the company in 2012 and within her first year danced lead roles such as Maria Clara in Crisostomo Ibarra, Gintong Usa in Alice Reyes’ Rama Hari, and Hermia in Carlo Pacis’ A Midsummer Night's Dream. Promoted to Soloist status for the 45th season, she has portrayed the title role in Giselle, Oryang in Rock Supremo, Belle in A Christmas Carol and the title role in Cinderella. In 2014, she won the 1st prize at the 1st CCP Ballet Competition. Her rise up the ranks never ceasing in momentum, Denise was promoted to Junior Principal for the 46th season. She garnered lead roles, such as Death in Gabriel Barredo’s Opera, the Spice Princess in George Birkadze’s restaging of The Firebird, Maria Clara in Paul Morales’ Simoun, and Odette/Odile in the company’s 2016 production of Swan Lake.
