Eugene Obille

Eugine started his ballet training at the age of 11 under the strict tutelage of Brezhnev Larlar, Pamela Ortiz-Bondoc and Toni Lopez Gonzales-Garcia. He further studied dance with mentors such as Effie Nañas, Noordin Jumalon, Victor Ursabia, Ramonette Victoria, Nonoy Froilan, Gina Katigbak-Garcia, Jeffrey Espejo, Pamela Asprer-Espejo, Carlo Pacis and Agnes Locsin. He has taken Master Classes with Tina Santos, Brando Miranda, Ryan Ocampo,  Dawie Claase, Nicolas Pacaña, Ai-gul Gaisina, Maiqui Mañosa, Cecile Sicangco, Verna Fajilan, Gregory Aaron, Anatoli Pannasiukov, Victor Madrona, Dwight Rodrigazo, Ernest Mandap, and Annette Cruz. In 2008 he was awarded the Julian Felipe Performing Artist of the Year in Cavite City.

Eugene joined Ballet Philippines in 2011 as an Apprentice and was promoted to Company Member a year after. He has performed in company productions such as Don Quixote, Encantada, Crisostomo Ibarra (as Padre Damaso/Multo), Sleeping Beauty (Jewels Pas de Quatre), Pusong Wagas, and Rama Hari. Early this year he essayed the lead role of Lysander in Carlo Pacis’ A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
