Ric Mar Policarpio
Ric Mar started his ballet training at 7 years old under Tony Fabella, Luther Perez, and Eddie Elejar, at the Manila Dance Center. In 2005, he continued his dance training at the CCP Dance School of Ballet Philippines, where he took ballet classes under under Noordin Jumalon, Verna Fajilan, and Clark Rambuyon, modern classes under Novy Bereber, Mica Bernas, and Christine Crame, and contemporary classes under Alden Lugnasin, Edana Mae Labitoria, and Ronelson Yadao. He joined BP Kidz in a tour to Japan in 2007, and was then promoted to Company Scholar in 2010. His notable roles include Boy Scrooge in Edna Vida’s “A Christmas Carol” in 2013, and John in the 2015 production of Edna Vida’s Peter Pan. In the same year, he joined BP2, in a tour to Davao City to perform Rock Supremo, in celebration of the 150th birth anniversary of Andres Bonifacio. In 2016, as a newly promoted apprentice, he joined BP2’s recent tour to Visayas and Mindanao, performing excerpts from Sarong Banggi.
