An intimate dinner was held at the private residence of BP President Kathleen Liechtenstein for the preview of Limang Daan. Special guests that evening included editors and journalists from Tatler, Lifestyle Asia, Vogue, GMA News, Daily Tribune, Inquirer, Mega, The Post and BluPrint. They were also joined by award-winning filmmaker and Limang Daan librettist, Moira Lang.

It is time to ask ourselves if we are still holding onto things that are better left in the past. But that’s ultimately up to the audience to weigh, from a more critical view of our history,”
A 9-course dinner of reimagined heritage dishes set the tone for an evening dedicated to toasting the beauty, wisdom and fortitude of the Filipina. An extraordinary experience of culinary art, every dish sent out from Liechtenstein’s kitchen was homage to Philippine flavors, ingredients, textures, and creativity. In her speech during the gala night, Ballet Philippines President Kathleen Liechtestein shared: “Ballet Philippines embarked on a mission called Ballet Brigade – to reach out to our isolated and marginalized communities and tribal groups in our country. Our purpose is not to corrupt or impose the discipline of ballet on their own dance heritage, but to share the power of dance so that we can entwine and bring our communities together. We share with them the dicipline of ballet and in turn they teach us their dance culture. It is also our goal to spot talented kids for training scholarships in ballet.”
Their presence at our show made the performance even more special for everyone present that day.
