Artistic Director Egor Scepaciov was born in Chisinau, Moldova, in 1975. In 1986, he entered the state school of music and ballet, where he graduated in 1993. In the same year, he was hired in the corps de ballet of the Moldova National Opera Ballet in Chisinau and he obtained a soloist role as principal dancer in the ballet Cipollino. Until 2010, he worked as principal dancer playing many important roles, such as the Prince in The Nutcracker, Basil in Don Quixote, James in La Sylphide, the Prince in The Sleeping Beauty, Mercutio and Romeo in Romeo and Juliet, the Prince and the Clown in Swan Lake, Colin in La Fille Mal Gardée. In 1997, he worked with the choreographer Yuri Gregorovich. In 2008, he obtained the prestigious recognition of Honoured Artist of the Republic of Moldova. He successfully took part in several competitions. Amongst his numerous awards there is the first prize at the international competition in Constanta (Rumania) and the diploma at the international competition of dancers and choreographers in Moscow, where he also won the first prize for his choreography. He started teaching in 2004 at the state school in Chisinau and since 2008 he has also been working as répétiteur at the Moldova National Opera Ballet. With the Moldova National Opera Ballet dance company he made tours all over Europe and he toured China with the Royal Moscow Ballet dance company. In 2007, he began working with AUB, firstly as a guest dancer at the grand galas and as principal dancer on tours organized by the AUB. Today, he is teacher and artistic director of the Ukrainian Ballet Academy.
