Shlyapina Galina Arkadyevna is a People’s Artist of RSFSR (Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic). Upon graduation from the Perm Choreographic Institution she worked in the Perm Opera and the Ballet Theatre. She was the first performer of the following parts: Liza (1973, “Three cards”), Klariche (1976, “A servant of two gentlemen”), Eurydice (1977, “Orpheus and Eurydice”). Galina Shlyapina’s dance is distinguished by plastique and sensibility. Due to her brilliant talent she performed the following major parts in 1981 in the Moscow Classical Ballet: Fay Rozabelwerde (1982, “Magic justicoat”), Isolda (1987, “Faces of love”). Flexibility, inimitable artistry and high professionalism help Galina Shlyapina to gain fame even abroad. During 1990-94 she worked in the USA. At present Galina Arkadiyevna is a ballet mistress in the Kremlin Ballet Theatre.
