A Dream Unveiled: Ballet Philippines' Press Preview of Ang Panaginip

A Journey of Discovery and Self-Expression

Ballet Philippines recently hosted an exclusive press preview of Ang Panaginip, an original Filipiniana ballet, at the Oasis Garden Café in Solaire Resort Entertainment City on January 28. The event, held at noon, offered an enchanting glimpse into this groundbreaking production, set to have its world premiere on February 28 at The Theatre at Solaire.

As media guests arrived, they were treated to a superb Filipino fare lunch that quickly became a topic of praise. While enjoying the meal, attendees were introduced to Ballet Philippines President Kathleen Liechtenstein, who shared the company’s excitement for this new production. “Ballet Philippines is so proud to present an original Filipiniana ballet that celebrates the strength, beauty, and the independence of the Filipina, intertwined with the rich tapestry of our culture,” she said. “This already stunning setting is further enhanced by the Filipiniana collection of costume designer Jor-El Espina, created specifically for this full-length ballet.”

BP President Kathleen Liechtenstein in a Jor-el Espina creation shares her pride in this full length original Filipiniana production staged by Ballet Philippines as its 55th season finale.

The highlight of the afternoon was a breathtaking fashion show seamlessly blended with a ballet performance. Ballet Philippines dancers, draped in Espina’s exquisite creations, graced the space with their elegant movements, giving the audience a preview of the visual splendor awaiting them in Ang Panaginip.

Jor-El Espina himself shared his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “Ballet Philippines’ legacy and dedication to excellence has elevated this partnership into something truly special. As a designer, creating for such a prestigious dance company feels like a milestone that marries my love for design and culture in a way I’ve always envisioned.”

The event left attendees eager for the full production, which promises to be a celebration of Philippine artistry and storytelling. *Ang Panaginip* will take the stage at The Theatre at Solaire on February 28 for its world premiere, followed by performances on March 1 at 2 PM and 7 PM, and March 2 with both matinee and evening shows. Tickets are available on this website as well as through Ticketworld.

With its fusion of dance, fashion, and cultural heritage, Ang Panaginip is set to be a milestone production, offering audiences a unique and unforgettable experience into a world where dreams take flight and individuality knows no bounds.
