ARTISTIC DIRECTOR (AD)
Misha Martynyuk is the Artistic Director of Ballet Philippines. He is a multi award winning artist
and choreographer.
Misha is a Star Dancer of The Kremlin Ballet Theatre, Premier of the Russian Ballet Theatre and
holds the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.
Misha was awarded the best performance of modern dance choreography in the Vaganova Prix
2002. Misha became the laureate of the 1st Young ballet of Russia in the all Russian Ballet
Competition. He is the winner of the Triumph Youth Award (2005), winner of the First Prize and
Gold Medal of the First International Ballet Competition in Astana (2006), winner of the Soul of
Dance Ballet Prize in The Rising Star nomination (2010).
Misha is from Chelyabinsk, West Central Russia. In 2012, he attained his Diploma from the
Russian Academy of Theatre Arts with a specialty as Producer. He also studied the Institute of Management and Informatics, with a specialty in Management and Production Skills. In 2015, he
finished his Masters Degree from the Russian Academy of Theater Arts, Faculty of Modern
Dance with specialisation in Contemporary Choreography.
