Dama Ko Lahi Ko

Ballet Philippines celebrates the country’s 123rd Independence Day by taking part in Len Cabili’s meaningful campaign, “Dama ko Lahi ko,” which celebrates being Filipino by experiencing culture through each of the five senses: Paningin (Sight), Pang-Amoy (Smell), Pandinig (Hearing), Panlasa (Taste), Pansalat (Touch). In this way, promoting the exquisite Philippine culture as a collective soft power.

Soft power, in this campaign and via Ballet Philippines’ similarly-titled production, is the unique ability to attract and influence the audience through culture and its national ideals. BP invites everyone to watch this contribution and see, hear and feel a performance that celebrates being Filipino and what defines us as a people. Through the art of dance, BP joins hands with the Dama ko Lahi ko campaign in inviting every Filipino to live out culture together, consciously and consistently, not just in June or during special holidays like today, but on a daily basis in the simple yet unique ways that make us Filipinos.

Let us collectively share our story of being Filipino! Maligayang ika-123 Araw ng Kalayaan!
