Watch LIMANG DAAN, a Ballet Philippines production, through the patronage of Salcedo Auctions, depicting 500 years of cross-cultural encounters in which Philippine art and culture was heavily influenced by Spain. Masterfully choreographed by Ballet Philippines’ guest choreographer Joseph Phillips, and performed together with Ballet Philippines’ Principal Dancer, Denise Parungao-Phillips, this video encapsulates a powerful, rich and often tumultuous past that has shaped what the Philippines is today.
Filmed in various locations including Intramuros, a location rich in historical and cultural heritage, it will resonate strongly with those who agree that knowing history enables us to develop a much greater appreciation of our cultural identity at present.
Noteworthy accents to this production are the beautiful period creations by Patis Tesoro and pearl accessories by Jewelmer.
